The Prophet’s Role and His Followers’ Responsibilities

This is one ayah from Surah al A’raaf crystal clearly spells out the glorious role of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the huge responsibilities of those who follow him: 

He who eats a lot….

We don’t live to eat. We eat to live! Do you know what Umar ibn al Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said about eating? 

Through Abu Hurayrah to all Muslims!

Today’s hadeeth is about the advice of the Prophet to his dear companion, Abu Hurayrah. 

The Prophet of The Little Ones Too

Muslims can look to the sunnah for the example the Prophet, sallallahu alayhe wa sallam, left us, both as a parent and a murabbi (moral mentor).

Children in the Household of the Messenger

Those who were children around the Messenger, sallallahu alayhe wa sallam, report playing with him, laughing with him, and receiving his spiritual guidance. It is little wonder, then, that they became when they matured, perhaps, the greatest collective force dedicated to the transmission of his teachings.

They entered his home, and found in it not only a sanctuary, but a spiritual school.

Acquiring knowledge but then not teaching…!

A beautiful reminder to all Muslims, especially scholars!

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “The example of a person who learns knowledge then does not teach it is like the one accumulates money, but does not spend out of it.” (1)
