In this blessed month of Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1431 Hijri, I inaugurate this Seerah blog with a sincere prayer to Almighty Allah:
رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Frankly speaking, having a blog on Seerah itself is not necessary because in this world of information and technology, there are thousands of web pages on different aspects of the Seerah
It is in fact the love of our نبي كريم صلى الله عليه وسلّم that prompted me to initiate this blog.
This all-time-inspiring-verse of the Qur’an also motivated me:
وَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمَعَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
(Those who strive in Our Cause, We shall Guide them to Our Ways. Certainly, Allah is with those who excel in good – Surah Al Ankaboot 29: 69)
This verse is an assurance from Almighty Allah that He will make things easy for those who strive in His Cause.
Furthermore, the Prophetic saying بلّغوا عنّي ولو آيةَ “ Convey of me even if it be as little as one word or one sentence” also inspired me towards sharing a few droplets from the life and teachings of the greatest man ever born on the face of this earth.
I gratefully acknowledge all writers and websites whose names, articles and references are published in this blog.
He is as his name is! The praiseworthy! The Most Praised One!
Loving the Prophet must be a part of our Islamic life as Allah commands His Messenger to declare to the world:
قُلْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللَّهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِي يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
“Say (O Muhammad to all Muslims!) If you do love Allah, Follow Me! Allah will love you and forgive you your sins, for Allah is oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful” (3: 31)
No man has ever been loved throughout history as he is loved and revered by billions of people right from his own time down to this day and ever shall he be loved as long as the world is in existence!
He is the most remembered person on earth!
Ten Times each day from each and every mosque his name is being respectfully called out through Azaan (Prayer Call) from thousands of minarets of the world.
Millions of his followers send peace and blessings upon him day in and day out.
He was the simplest man on earth!
He never ordered people to stand when he entered a room or reached a place. Yet he was given more than a hero’s welcome wherever he went!
He never liked to sit with legs stretched when people were around.
He never allowed anyone to lift his stature to the level of worship!
He condemned hero worship. He condemned people making graves and illuminating it with lights.
Fearing that people might go the wrong way after this death, he said:
“Don’t make my grave a place of festival”.
In spite of the fact that his followers were ever ready to do anything if he commanded them to do so, he did not possess even an iota of ego in him. He was the humblest man on earth!
“10 years”, said his servant, “I was with the Prophet, and he never said as much as ‘fie to me’!
The English language proverb ‘No man is hero to his valet’ miserably fails when it comes our Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلّم For, Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلّم is indeed the hero to his valet!
The closer a person was with the Prophet, the more attracted was he towards him. Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلّم was benevolent, lavishly generous and exceedingly kind-hearted. It was a pleasure to have his company. Whoever met him for the first time was filled with awe but with closer contact became attached to him”. (Tirmidhi)
Despotism and arrogance of power and knowledge were unknown to him!
He was kind to all people. When he got his birth place back, not as a citizen, but as a domineering conqueror and leader, he didn’t take revenge on anyone.
Among the conquered were those wild beasts that used to torture him for ten long years; abuse him, mock at him, insult him, make fun of him, call him mad and crazy, persecute and punish his followers for accepting him as the Prophet of Allah.
After the conquest of Makkah, all those beasts in human garb were standing before him with heads down!
As a conqueror, he did not throw even a pebble on such wild attackers! He forgave them all. Subhanallah!
True to his name. The Praiseworthy!
Being full of gratitude, he was the most humblest and the most greatest worshiper عابد He used to be in prostration for such long time that his foot used to get swollen and when he was asked the reason why he did like that he replied, “Should I not be a grateful servant of Allah?”
We need to adopt these humane qualities in us. The qualities of humbleness, simplicity, kindness, benevolence, gratitude and forgiving nature. Only then we will be considered to be true followers of this greatest man!
These qualities will develop in us only when we do love Allah intensely.
Allah Himself says:
“Those who believe are intense in their love for Allah” (2: 165)
Following the glorious Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلّم in letter and spirit is an expression of our intense love for Allah.
May Allah bless and accept this work of mine and may He forgive me of my sins. (Aameen)
I conclude with the following verse of Surah Hood:
إِنْ أُرِيدُ إِلا الإصْلاحَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ وَمَا تَوْفِيقِي إِلا بِاللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ أُنِيبُ
“I only desire for the betterment to the best of my capacity; and my success (in my task) can only come from Allah. In Him, I trust and unto Him I return” (11: 88)

This blog is imported from the original blog on Seerah: Muhammad
Some of my friends suggested to go for a change in theme as they felt that it was difficult for them to view because of the dark background in the template.
I have been using Blogger since two years and When I initiated the Qur’an blog I tried my hand at wordpress instead & al hamdulillah it works well.
So, instead of opting for a new theme I took time to import the blog itself! 🙂
According to the Poll conducted here, 93.33% voters said the new template is better while 6.7% preferred the old one.
While I have successfully imported the posts and selected the latest wordpress theme, I have to still work on:
1) changing the text colour of the posts and 2) copying and uploading audio, E-books and other links. This may take some time, InshaAllah…..
